Bulldog Motorsports has been building Honda GX160 and GX200 race engines since the mid 90’s with tremendous success in both senior and junior classes.  Our focus has been on building engines that are not only fast but durable.  Bulldog engines will provide you with many hours of trouble free performance with proper maintenance. We believe that karting should be a sport where money is not the reason why a competitor wins.  Driver ability and preparation should be the 2 main ingredients required along with a good durable engine to compete for a championship not cash.  Our engines are all built to the same specifications in order to create a level playing field.  All of the bolt on parts required to convert a Honda engine to a kart racing  engine utilized by our engine builders are parts developed by Bulldog.   

Many of the top engine builders in Canada utilize the components developed by our shop for competition in Canada meeting the ASN regulations.  Bulldog has developed air filter adapters, fuel pump mounts, header pipes, engine mounts, chain guards and split sprockets.

Our shop rebuilds more than 80 Honda GX series engines annually,  that represents two and one half months work for one of our licensed mechanics.  We have engines shipped from all over Canada for rebuilding, with our large parts inventory and virtually all of the work done in house the turn around time is generally 5 to 7 working days.
