WESTERN CANADIAN ROTAX-MAX CHALLENGE SERIES 2007

The 2007 Western Canadian Max Challenge will be run under the following guidelines.

  1. The Western Region is British Columbia , Alberta , Saskatchewan and Manitoba .
  2. The 2007 Western Championship will consist of 3 races.
  3. There will be a qualifying session, prefinal and 2 finals. 
  4. SRA will tabulate the points and award the trips after the final event in Calgary . 
  5. There are 3 Championships classes that will be awarded trips to the 2007 Rotax World Championships.
    • Western Canadian Rotax-Max Junior Champion 143kg.
    • Western Canadian Rotax-Max Senior Champion 165kg.
    • Western Canadian Rotax DD2 Champion
  6. There will be a Western Canadian Rotax-Max over 35 Champion 165kg but there will not be a trip to the worlds awarded for this championship.
  7. Drivers must be residents in one of the 4 western provinces to be eligible for the prize package to the Rotax World Championships.

Western Canadian Supplemental Rules- 2007

1.      Qualifying order will be based on the point standings after race #1. For race #1 the computer will random pick the order.  Drivers that did not compete in previous series events will grid behind the other drivers in numerical order based on kart number lowest to highest.

2.      The spec 2-cycle oils are Motul 800 2T oil, Motul Kart Racing 2T and Motul Grand Prix 2T.

3.      Fuel testing as per ASN standards. The meter is set to zero using the test sample and each competitor must not exceed (+ or – 10) The oil mix rate for the test samples will be 40:1.  A Spec. fuel station and pump to be posted at each event.

4.      There will be a 6 tire rule in effect.  3 fronts and 3 rears.

5.      The Rotax-Max Spec tire is the Mojo dry Tire and the Mojo wet tire.  All classes to use 7.10 rear tires

6.      The DD2 class will run Bridgestone tires. (compound to be announced)

7.      Each class will receive year end Championship Trophies to 3rd place.

  1. CARTBC in Chilliwack on May 18,19,20
  2. SKR in Saskatoon on June 29,30 and July 1st
  3. Calgary on  July 27,28,29
